We are going to make a simple stove-top cheese sauce and add a bit of pumpkin puree in there for fall-vibes and fiber.
A note on breadcrumbs. I make them fresh when I have the end of a fresh loaf that is a little tough, but also don’t always have that around. Slices of sandwich bread can get close. Cut off the crusts, tear up the center and proceed as directed below.
