Pistachio Pesto

We like this version of a pesto come fall time (or anytime really). We use it as a burger or sandwich spread or stirred into cooked pasta with some butternut squash and greens. Use basil or cilantro, depending on the season and what smells better. A seeded jalapeno should give you a really mild heat, but you could use half if you're worried and feeding kids. The pesto will keep in the fridge for a week-ish.
