Week 106

Hey hey! You all asked for more uses for the sauces in our archives, and also some roll over ingredients, so we’re working on that this week. The Muhummara sauce comes together in minutes in a blender or food processor. We are going to use it as a tasty burger spread (thank you, Hugh), and also as the love in some rainbow veggie bowls. The salad has been a crowd favorite (so many crunchy things and it saves well!). Sarah Kieffer, a very talented baker and writer of one of my favorite ever brownie recipes, just published a new cookbook called 100 Cookies and oh boy do I have so many pages dog-eared. I made these brown sugar cookies with my niece and we all agreed they were fabulous under-cooked, with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

There was also a lot of interest for small zoom classes I mentioned on instagram, just covering some basics. I am going to try one, albeit very rocky and me likely tipsy because I don't like the spotlight, next Sunday, September 13th at 5PM PST. It will be 1-hr. and cover 3-4 dressings and sauces, and how to roll those over into quick, no-recipe meals and lunches. Those seem to be major pain points. I'm going to do them for members only, $20. I really want folks to be chatty and participate! Go ahead and email me and I'll take the first 10 people who can join and we'll go from there: sara@sproutedkitchen.com. We'll do more! Don't worry if this one doesn't work, and eventually in person for retreats which would just be dreamy.
