Week 107

Heelllllloooo my friends! What a week. I say that a lot these days. I don't listen to music or podcasts on my walks anymore, just let my thoughts and ideas and angst get organized, and oof. It's messy up there. We are a ways from the wildfires in California, but the ash is covering our cars and anything outside really and the air is thick and pink - the AQI is "very unhealthy" and I can't imagine the devastation up in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. My thoughts are with those of you who are close and effected by the terrible fires. I am so sorry.

I am starting our inaugural SKCC Zoom cooking class this Sunday (thanks to all who signed up and expressed interest!) and have decided that all proceeds will go to charity. I will rotate to different causes and this Sunday, we'll send the donations towards CA fire relief by way of the humanitarian aid organization Direct Relief (Charity Navigator suggestion).

As for the food, these are some good ones. This particular green sauce that goes with the chicken is creamy and spicy and so good. It will be your dip for everything this week. The tester who tested the bolognese for me said "no changes at all - this is the best bolognese I've ever had" so, ok. The fritters are easy to have on hand for lunches or stick in an English muffin for the kids and the fig balls are a great snack and were gone in a day!

Hope you find some things you like. Stay well. xo
