Week 152

Friday!!!!! This was a very long week and I am ready to sit down for a second with a margarita. I think you all will really enjoy this week's recipes. My people here love an entree salad and this one is so so good. I ate it for 2 or 3 meals for days in a row because once you have all of the components going, you might as well just triple things and eat it many times if that is also your summer pace. We're revisiting that popular salmon dish from last summer with the easy watermelon salad and different rub, and putting all of our favorite Italian deli items into a tortellini salad of sorts. The bars will be a kid favorite and I froze half of the batch so I can bring them to the beach this weekend.

We are also launching the Margin Notes feature today - yay Hugh! (If you are new, Hugh is my brilliant husband and he created this site. He has since taken a full time job with a software development company, and continues to do backend stuff and photography here, and has been working on this upgrade in evening hours).

You will see it on the right side of the individual recipe pages. We hope this is a place where you all can share your thoughts with the SKCC community if you feel they would be constructive for anyone trying the recipe. Also, notes can also be marked as private. For example, say you make the brownies, you may want add a private note: "Tried them with a dozen chopped peanut butter cups, would double next time." Or it may help the community to add a public note like: "tried them with whole wheat flour and they were terrible."

You can also click on the star icon on any community notes you find helpful to give kudos to that note - notes are ordered by most helpful.
