Week 169

Ooooooo baby this is a full menu! It is all sorts of delicious sides, no turkey. We have a Maple and Herb Roasted Breast in the archives for reference, as well as a plethora of salads and desserts and cocktail options for different tastes! Please reach out if you need a hand finding things - always happy to help! Some of the past favorites have been this Brussles and Kale Slaw, Butternut Steaks with Apple Relish, Gremolata Green Beans, Whipped Feta or Squash and Fontina Flatbread as appetizer options, the Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars and this Cider Bourbon Cocktail would be easy and festive as well. It's a lot of food and a lot of cooking!

We are heading up to Lake Arrowhead with my family on Wednesday and I'll make a few things in advance so I am not cooking the whole time up there. I am making veg sides and the chocolate tart from this menu (very easy to make gluten free should that be a request at your table). This year I am really grateful for the large view of my life - health, a home near family and friends in a place that I really love, a partner who works hard and loves us well, the enjoyable season my kids are in - how much I enjoy their precious personalities. Hugh's coffee delivery in morning, my fresh veggie box, books, good teachers, women in my life that I really adore, Cleo's generous "i love you's" and Curran's sensitive heart and that we are slowly getting more support here in this SKCC project and I get to call this my job (!). It is big things and little things. I know that thankful question is cliche this coming week, but hope it stays on the mind more than just a round table question for you this holiday.

I am so grateful you are here, that you trust us and follow along and cook these things. Thank you!
