Week 193

Today is my birthday. I am not cooking anything... well, besides baking off this test of a cinnamon roll recipe that I'm working on for a project that I can maybe tell you about in a week or two! Eeps. I have had a few girls nights this week to celebrate and woke up to really sweet cards from the kids. The whole fam is playing hookie from school and work to go to the beach because the weather is perfection and being there, with them, is my favorite. There will hopefully be time to read my book club book and use my massage gift card and go out to dinner somewhere new. It's been a smattering of all my favorite things and reminds me how special my people are.

This week's recipes are written by Mckenzie Mitchell and are so SO good. The sandwich may be one of her best yet - lots of steps for sure, but absolutely worth it. We are making a "boss sauce" that is rolled into each entree recipe in some way - used as a salad dressing or sam spread. There is also a granola that is just as good as an ice cream topping as it is with yogurt for breakfast. We're lucky to have her talent around here.
