Week 195

What a heavy week. The news this week has been top of mind and I can't even begin to express enough condolences for the families of the teachers and children in Uvalde,Texas. To parents everywhere who are scared and mad and nervous - I am overwhelmed with you. My school mom chat had a few resources about talking to your kids about tragic events so I will put them here:

It is a holiday weekend, and I am grateful for those who have protected and served our country. I hope you have a bbq and a beach day or a hike or a pot luck in store at some point in memory of their service. The slaw this week would be a good one to share, and all dairy free, gluten free folks are happy to see a date and nut based dessert on the table. We also have a BBQ chicken bowl and a basic risotto to act as a base for some spring asparagus over the top.

Hoping this collection of simple dinners gets you through another week! Thank you for being here.
