Week 199

Summery things! This is the best time of year to buy salmon. It is in season, so finding fresh filets versus frozen or previously frozen are easier to come by. I used to love Costco's wild options, but they've changed (at least near us) and I haven't been impressed. We have had the best luck picking up pieces at the farmers market, which costs at least double, but I know it is fresh and good and we don't have it too often. Fish people, where are you getting good salmon? We are also making another great sandwich, similar to the other Italian one we did a few weeks ago. It's great for a picnic. Beets are good all year round, and we're making a savory granola to sprinkle on top of some smashed and roasted guys. I know you guys don't like a lot of oven time over the summer months, but I promise this one is pretty quick.

Next week we are celebrating 200 weeks of recipes here at Cooking Club! I have a few small giveaways and we'll do an Instagram live to chit chat a bit. It will land before a holiday weekend, so let's plan for Wednesday July 6th if you're able to join. I assume IG is easier than Facebook or Zoom but I also can never tell, so holler if you have an opinion on this.
