Week 211

hellllloooooo!

I actually wished I had a sweatshirt at Back to School night this evening. A sweatshirt! After weeks of being SO HOT. I love you, September. You're moody, but I like it. It means we get the last of the peaches and pumpkin spice coffee creamer and the beach and also a sweater so all is well. This menu is a bit of a bridge one for you. There are some quick item like the sausage salad situation, and a green sauce we will use twice. If you start with the sausage deal, that sauce will roll over into the veggie burgers. The honey mustard chicken is another way with weeknight chicken, and we toss everything in that lovable sweet, mustardy sauce. Veg friends could absolutely do that with mushrooms or tofu! And a turnover, which are always a hit here with the kiddos and pals. You can make minis or hearts and glaze them or not but that jam is delicious. We called for frozen peaches, which ironically results in a thicker jam than fresh, but either work! We are back on our double soccer program this weekend and celebrating Hugh's birthday and sitting in the backyard after dinner while we still can. Hope you find a bit of magic this weekend. xo
