Week 243

I am heading to volunteer at the kids' school for a bit, a mini gym session, then I'm heading to the library to read over my intro pages and add in one more recipe so I can turn in my book manuscript by the end of the day. Yahoo! It is so different than our first two books and for that reason, I'm a little worried about the divergence. As I read through every single word these past two weeks, I definitely saw a pattern in my meals and favorite ingredients. You already know them as SKCC folks - lots of slaw, jalapenos, limes, chocolate, almond flour, butternut and cauli. I suppose I know what I like, or what flies around here with the kids I should say. Your feedback on the recipes here has been so important for field notes - to understand more clearly, how people cook at home. I hope the pages are personal and family friendly and practical for a busy life. Anyway. It isn't out until spring of '23 but I will keep you posted when it is up online and such. I'm excited to have the hardest part finished!

The food! This veggie burger is SO GOOD. It riffs off our favorited burger here and has a great slaw (see1?) for a crunchy topping. There are cookies for the weekend or to pack for lunches and two one-pot dishes that are excellent to both make ahead, or reheat to eat on a night you'll be home late. I hope you find some favorites. Have a good one!
