Week 267

Alright friends, I ended up pulling two recipes from the archives, so I could tinker with how we could roll over more ingredients, per request. This week, we will repeat rice, pineapple, and if you eat meat, the pork, which can go in both the bowls and fried rice. For the fried rice, the pork can be substituted with tofu, chicken, shrimp etc., but I wanted to see how it would work to make things in a specific order, so you wouldn’t have to reinvent the wheel every dinner time.

Here is our draft week: Start Sunday with making the braised pork. It makes a large amount, so you should be able to use it for two meals (I know this is relative, given you may be feeding picky little kids or hungry teenage athletes, so use your discretion). We always do vegetarian on Monday and tacos on Tuesday in my house, and that cycle just helps me with decision fatigue. Both adults here work from home, so we eat leftovers for lunch throughout the week.
