Week 277

How is everyone out there? All my garland is definitely dead and I am just putting some twine around the delivery boxes themselves. I do this every year. I start out so jolly and then a few days before I am so over spent on time and money and wine and chatting that I lose some of the spirit. I hope that you are baking and wrapping and not as much of a grinch because we're only just getting started! Food notes! The cinnamon rolls are tradition so those are always here. If you do make them, please send your feedback because I always want them to be better. We also have this egg casserole because we have sweet and savory people here in the morning and I want to have one egg dish. We are also in our Trader Joes crispy hashbrown puck season, so we're using those everywhere we can. You should know now that the lasagna is PROJECT. Even my sweet tester, was like "wow, yes, that is best split into two days". It is not our typical fare, as it is rich and decadent and involves quite a few steps but it is SO good and worth it. I assume you have dinner plans through the weekend already, but this is definitely one to add to your list. If you are bringing a side, consider this gratin! First of all, gorgeous, second, delicious and one of those winners that is so simple it's silly. I am bringing it Monday and plan to get the saute going, then bring it up to my sisters in pieces, and pour the cream and topping on there and bake at her house so it's fresh out of the oven.

I tell you often and I'll repeat it again, that I am very glad you're here. We have some changes coming in the spring and this program will evolve a bit, and I'm really grateful to those that have made the SKCC recipes are part of your dinner plans. Thank you for bringing us into your kitchens and supporting our small business. Happy holidays to you all!
