Week 279

Happy new year! I used to be the gal with a full notebook full of goals and resolutions. Jan. 1, Hugh and I would make lists of health and relationship and money and fun and work and travel goals and we'd share and plan. We'd lose momentum because of course it was too much. When we're back into our routine next week, I still want to make a date, but maybe focus on 3-4 things. I want to get the kids to New York and try to get physically stronger. We're shifting some SKCC things late spring when the cookbook comes out, and I took on a menu consulting and recipe development job this year for a local café - something I have always been interested in trying my hand in. We should save up to update our bathroom because it has 70's peach tile with shells imprinted in it and the window leaks water when the shower is on. That feels like enough. Even if I don't always feel like making it, I love when I have a warm dinner planned when everyone comes home from work or respective sports, so to keep that happening, I look forward to cooking with you all. Hope we can find some favorites together. I saw some requests for more plant based meals in the new year, and that a lot of us are taking an alcohol break for the month.

The hit were the enchilada meatballs this week - even Cleo ate them and she is my picky one. Well, and of course the scones, those went quick and were easy to share. Hope you find something you love and don't hesitate to send me any requests!

Enjoy your weekend!
