Week 73

Happy Friday! I cooked so much this week. I mean, I cook a lot every week but I re-started my personal chef job on Monday so it felt like double… literally. I hope you had a few fun meals.

This week, we have a new soup! I know many of you are vegetarian, or even those who are not, like to eat more vegetables, so we’re packing it into this soup. I wrote in pasta so it stands alone but the last time I made it, I topped it with fresh croutons instead (the best soup topping!). The wraps are a vintage SK recipe that deserves revisiting and the chicken schwarma mostly exists on a sheet pan and I know many of you are fans of that. DO NOT forget the toppings. Crucial. And the cake! It is not super sweet and we serve it with lemon curd and plain yogurt or you could also just not if you’re looking to save time.

I’m planning our Valentines menu! All I’ve got so far is date cake with whiskey caramel sauce. I thought it would be fun to involve you all. Would you humor me and submit the best meal you’ve had for the holiday, or what you dream of having? It’s on a Friday this year, so maybe more of you are going out but let’s plan something special in just in case, or that you could use another night. I love to hear what you find special :)
